![]() ![]() When you say the X5 is a stereo only device, are you saying there is a hardware limitation with the X5 that would prevent a Virtual 5. According to your original post you are using a Virtual Audio Cable B as output device in Virtual DJ. Without receiving a surround input, virtual surround is. To send audio to another application (OBS for example) you could use B1 o B2 busses which are connected to VoiceMeeter Output and VoiceMeeter Aux Output respectively. With a surround input virtual surround is absolutely amazing for gaming - it's the whole reason I have continued to buy creative sound cards. What I didn't know was that it would be limited to digital stereo input. I saw that it supported virtual surround via the creative app, and the screenshot showing the acoustic engine looked similar to the same features/functions I have in the creative app with the AE-5. I reviewed the product page in detail before pre-ordering. If this is a hardware limitation - I am completely dumbfounded. It's fine that it's a Stereo device - I just need it to accept a digital surround stream and apply HRTF to a stereo output. Shame on me for not reading reviews, but shame on Creative for deceptive marketing.
